Zongyi Li
Composer, Music Producer and Sound designer

About me

I am a music composer specializing in orchestral, electronic, and hybrid music. Classically trained, I have a strong foundation in music theory, orchestration, and notation. I am highly proficient in using my digital audio workstation (DAW) and music notation software, allowing me to compose for both live performers and virtual instruments. With over a decade of experience in electronic music production, I have produced various EDM styles and cinematic electronic scores. I also have experience in sound design.

I am currently studying music composition at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. My work includes scoring short films, video games, and participating in numerous composition competitions. I have a deep understanding of Chinese music and world instruments, which I often integrate into my compositions, blending traditional and modern sounds. My expertise spans a wide range of genres, including orchestral, cinematic, EDM, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and epic hybrid scores. With access to industry-leading virtual instruments, I deliver high-quality compositions tailored to any project.

Pricing

My pricing will depend heavily on the type of music that I'm required to compose. Generally, the more complex it is, the more expensive it will be, and vice-versa. It can get as high as 300USD$ (450CAD$) per minute of music if the music is highly complex, like in the example of "The Rise and Fall of Globosome" or as little as 50USD$ (75CAD$) per minute of music if the music is just a solo piano like in the example of "The Grand Archive". Therefore, we should always discuss the price.
